For Smartphone Users Our Mobile Website Just Got Better!

We are always looking for way to improve our mobile website and we  just found one little change which makes it a little better. During the summer we added Book Lists, which host our reading recommendations, to our mobile website. This was good but if you clicked the “Request It” button you were taken to the Library Catalog but it was not optimized for your smartphone. Now, If you view one of your Book List pages on a smart phone the links will go to our mobile catalog. How cool it that?

What you think of this improvement? Please feel free to suggest other changes we could make to our mobile website which would help you in accessing the online Library.

Reference eBooks Available Online

Doing homework in your pajamas? Need information? Visit our online reference department  – Gale Virtual Reference Library and get the information you need. As a bonus we added search boxes for all the other information resources.  What’s cool? Search in one of the widgets, and you get  information from the resource and as an added bonus information on the subject from our other resources. Don’t have a library card from LVCCLD? Then download our app – Access My Library – available for Apple and Android devices and select one of our libraries as your ‘home library’. (You have to be within 10 miles of one of our libraries).  Once bookmarked you will have access anywhere.
