Summer Reading Timer is Really Cool!

The Scholastic Reading Timer app promotes reading practice by encouraging reading every day and most importantly, makes it fun!

Use the Scholastic Reading Timer in three ways: in conjunction with the Scholastic Summer Challenge, where kids are given weekly reading goals and log their reading minutes to win virtual rewards, or as a fun and functional reading timer to use for the Library’s Summer Reading Program where kids win prizes and  throughout the year. Either way, the power of reading is in the palm of their hands.

It’s not just for kids! For parents there are daily tips, interesting articles, and age-appropriate booklists designed to help parents choose the right books for their kids, engage their reluctant readers, and more!
