Just in time for Summer Reading, Novelist PK-8 is just for kids in our Ducky Dreams Big and Dream Big Summer Reading programs. You can use Novelist PK-8 to find books to read. Into sports? Enter the word sports and select your age group. Fiction and NonFiction books are suggested. You can limit your choices between Fiction and NonFiction books, genres, like mysteries stories, comic books, etc.
Use the Scholastic Reading Timer in three ways: in conjunction with the Scholastic Summer Challenge, where kids are given weekly reading goals and log their reading minutes to win virtual rewards, or as a fun and functional reading timer to use for the Library’s Summer Reading Program where kids win prizes and throughout the year. Either way, the power of reading is in the palm of their hands.
It’s not just for kids! For parents there are daily tips, interesting articles, and age-appropriate booklists designed to help parents choose the right books for their kids, engage their reluctant readers, and more!
