Renewable Energy refers to sources of energy that have no chance of running out and little or no negative impact on the environment.
I discovered something unexpected while researching this blog post. If you search National Renewable Energy Laboratory as an author in the library catalog, you will find 638 links to reports issued by the lab. (In this case the lab is considered a corporate author.)
National Renewable Energy Laboratory
To give you a feel for the types of information you can find in the library databases on renewable energy, I want to highlight Academic Search Premiere, one of my favorite databases.
It includes 118 publications related to energy, including:
Ø Energy & Buildings
Ø International Journal of Sustainable Energy
Ø Journal of Solar Energy
Ø OPEC Review
This is just a sample.
If you repeat the Catalog Plus search, like I did in Part I on April 3, with a keyword search for renewable energy, you find 945 items in the library catalog, and again well over 10,000 articles from our databases.
