I received a call from a patron a few days ago and he was wondering why the music offerings in the eMedia Catalog were so sparse. I explained, we had switched to a different service for music called Freegal (free and legal) to provide our card holders in LVCCLD’s taxing district with the music they want most.
What’s so wonderful about this download service? The card holder can keep the songs he/she downloads forever! Each week, you can download 5 songs of your choice using your LVCCLD library card. Save them to your computer and transfer them to your iPod, MP3 player and/or burn them to a CD.
To make it even easier, there is an app so you can download songs directly to you mobile device.

New songs are added daily, so if you don’t see what you want this week, search for it again next week. There are 100,000′s of thousands of songs to download, from the big band era to the newest releases.
